SAU's BA in Sociology provides students the chance to learn to discuss difficult topics through open and empathetic discussions. They have the option of hands-on research opportunities to further their knowledge.
You can add a major in Criminal Justice, Psychology or Social Work and complete dual degrees within four years.

MPH 3+2 allows eligible Sociology students to begin an MPH before completing the BA, saving time and money.
Students learn core sociological concepts and theories of social life and to apply qualitative/quantitative methods to explain social patterns and propose solutions to social problems reflecting principles of equality and social justice.

Students in SAU's BA in Sociology program can enroll in the MPH program after completing three years of undergrad studies. They can use their MPH classes to fulfill the final bachelor's requirements, graduate, and take one more year to finish the MPH, ultimately completing both degrees within five years.
Students can combine Sociology with other degrees, including Criminal Justice, Psychology, Gender Studies, Political Science and Social Work. Many student clubs and university events focus on social justice topics to expand learning and professional connections.
